Product Development Engineers (Respiratory and Acute Care)

Are you an experienced, passionate product designer with a proven track record in mechanical engineering? Have you followed products from concept to completion?

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is a world leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of medical devices, exporting to over 120 countries globally.  Our range of therapy solutions are the result of almost four decades of clinical research and development; making us the world leader in respiratory humidification.  Restoring natural balance to the airway through delivery of optimal humidity is a critical part of patient care, from the intensive care unit through to patients receiving respiratory support in the home.

Our engineering teams have a core focus to develop and release new products to market.  To achieve our goals we need talented engineers.  We are expanding our teams and are currently on the hunt for seven exceptional people with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the area of new product development and design.

We are seeking team members who look to the future and are capable of integrating new and existing technologies into products that benefit the patient and bring value to the Company.  Our R&D facility has a comprehensive range of equipment to help you achieve this including CAD, CNC machining centres, rapid prototyping 3D printers and pilot production equipment.  To be successful in this role, you will have practical model shop experience and be knowledgeable working with CAD. 

You will be inventive and practical with a results focus and be interested in engineering with plastics.  As a healthcare organisation we adhere to strict international standards in quality and expect that you are committed to producing auditable work, are comfortable writing reports and couple this with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a qualified mechanical or mechatronics engineer in a world-class organisation, you will have great relationship building skills and like being part of a close-knit team.
